The Waiting Game

I am currently waiting to be assigned an editor by Bookkus Publishing, or various editors for various editing formats, for my first novel "A New Day at Midnight".

In between tapping my fingers on the tabletop as I wait for that exciting moment, I've begun my next novel, tentatively titled "Losing Dawn". While Merik and Hannah came to life for me in ways that I couldn't comprehend at the time I was writing "A New Day at Midnight", Nicolai and Ella are revealing themselves at a slower pace for "Losing Dawn". I wouldn't say I have writer's block, more of a writer's bump in the road. I'm currently working on it with a proverbial jackhammer and getting a clearer vision of my characters and story bit by bit.

I'm constantly looking for inspiration for both the romance and horror elements of this new work. I love love. No kidding. I've been watching 'Once Upon a Time' on Netflix and the dark, mystical elements intertwining with the characters often tragic, soul-deep love for each other keeps me hooked.

I'm a sucker for the tortured hero, for the tumultuous path that leads lovers to what they hold closest to their hearts--each other. My excitement continues to grow as I wait for the opportunity to reveal my first work to the world as my second work reveals itself to me... so I write on.
