So, back to writing. Editing is near completion for A New Day at Midnight. My editor, Rosa Sophia, was both patient and professional, so she caught my little mistakes and the odd moment of blatant idiocy. She encouraged me to breathe more life into particular scenes and oulined areas where I needed to learn. The entire process, on my end at least :), was relatively painless. I believe I have a skilled editor to thank for that.
William Yastcoff of Bookkus Publishing is exploring cover ideas for the book, and I'm excited by what he was already able to put together. If my estimations are correct, the next few months will mean the official release of the book. Here I come social media....this should be interesting.
Chasing Dawn, my tentatively titled second edition in the Hearne family saga, has been on my mind of late. Likely because I've been spending most of my time closing rifts with my magical armband to protect the world from the dangers of the fade. Dragon. Age. Rules.
But back to the basics, I have research to do on a host of demons, overused character flaws of the romance hero, and, last but not least, the proper place to stick the accursed comma. I'm looking forward to the development of new characters with Chasing Dawn, to finding a voice to bring them to life. Now that I've begun, I can't wait to see what happens next.
